BELÉN & VIRGINIA
Living a serene life on the peninsula in Kingston, Washington, we frequently take the ferry to meet with creatives throughout the greater Seattle area.
Our passion for photography blossomed early—Virginia was inspired by the pages of National Geographic and Life magazines, and Belén capturing whimsical images of naked Barbies in the snow at just five years old. Belén began by assisting her mother on shoots before embarking on her own photographic journey.
We have very similar taste in style and color in photography...then realized we were following the same photographers (all of whom use the medium of film).”
Both having begun with digital photography, we decided it was film or nothing. Though at different times, we each shot countless rolls to gain a thorough understanding of this medium.
What started as casual collaborations just for fun revealed that by combining our talents, we could elevate our photography to a higher level. Ultimately, working together feels less like work and more like play.
The advantage of having two photographers lies in our complementary strengths: Belén’s intuitive ability to guide individuals into natural, flattering poses, while Virginia enjoys telling a story with the subject and their surroundings. Together, we create an elevated experience that yields truly exceptional images.
